Nancy Hampson

Nancy Hampson has been involved in the adult literacy field as an instructor, teacher, volunteer trainer, and consultant for over 30 years. She is not only a certified trainer for successive staff development training initiatives for the California Department of Education-ESL Institute, ALIT Institute, CASAS, Staff Development Institute, and CALPRO, she has also authored several training modules on techniques for working with low literate students. Nancy was selected by the San Diego Community College, Continuing Education Centers to coordinate a volunteer program from 1985-1992. Through the San Diego Council on Literacy she forged a partnership of tutors, students, and instructors for over 18 years to provide an evening, multi-sensory class for adults with spelling, writing, and reading problems.
