Rethinking Tutor Training Using the Inspired Learning Mode™

The ILM™ is currently being used by California Library Literacy Services programs in Santa Clara County, Watsonville, and Huntington Beach as part of an LSTA-funded project by the California State Library. In its first year, integration of the model has increased tutor retention by more than 30% and tutors report greater ease in establishing a working rapport with their learners.
